MNG for MANGO Mission Wrap Up

WhatIWore: And here you have it - the final photo from our MNG by MANGO Missionphoto shoot in Barcelona! From left to right - Gala Darling, Me, Sydne, Lilliana, Jean,Carmen, Wendy, Dianna, Vahni, and Karen. To check out my solo shot, details on what I’m wearing, a video AND snaps from the reveal party…

I’ve shown you my sight seeing photos from Barcelona, and now I can finally reveal the details of our photo shoot for MNG by MANGO!  Our group of ten was divided into two groups for hair and makeup.  By the time I arrived on set, the first five gals where already looking gorgeous and glammed up in their outfits.

The hair and makeup team had an inspiration photo pulled of each of us.  When I saw a shot of Christy Turlington as my look, I was super pumped!  My hair was blown out and straighten and pinned to the side while my makeup was done. I haven’t had many professional makeup jobs, but each time I learn something new for how I can do my day to day makeup.  I really like how she did my eyes and brows!!

Next up - wardrobe.  I’m sure you can imagine that even with a wide variety of garments to choose from, it’s not easy to get ten bloggers in ten unique looks. I made it easy by going with a classic “Jessica” look - a faux wrap little black dress and with matching shoes and tights. Can’t you just imagine how that would look with my vintage leopard coat thrown on top? Love it!

Now, fast forward to last Friday night - our group reunited for tapas and sangria at the Manhattan jcpenney store to finally see the big reveal of our group shot. I love it.  Not only is it an incredibly beautiful photo of everyone, but it feels extra special to me because of the friendships I made during that trip. Jcpenney was so generous to have a print framed for each blogger and call me sentimental, but I can see way far into the future someday, when my future daughter might ask “Is that you, mom? Who are those girls with you?” Then I’ll get to tell the story about the time I went to Barcelona and relive such great memories.

Below - everyone is in awe of the final group photograph!

And mingling at the jcpenney store.

Mega huge thanks to everyone at MANGO, jcpenney and the Style Coalition for organizing, producing and sponsoring the MNG for MANGO Mission campaign.
