The humble incandescent bulb, now a symbol of unbridled energy consumption, has long illuminated the artistic imagination. Pablo Picasso’s 1962 “Nature Morte Au Verre Sous la Lampe scarpe nike,” Roy Lichtenstein’s 1977 “Lamp on a Table,” Tim Noble and Sue Webster’s “Special Edition Silver $” from 2007 and other proverbial light-bulb moments are on view in “Burning, Bright: A Short History of the Light Bulb scarpe nike,” at Pace Gallery in Chelsea from Oct. 29 through Nov. 26.
